FORT LANGLEY ARTISTS GROUP NEW SHOW - "ARTISTS' CHOICE"
The 16-member Fort Langley Artists Group (FLAG) is pleased to present their second show of the 2009 season, "Artists' Choice", which will feature an interesting variety of artwork selected by the individual artists themselves for this exhibition. The location is the Flagstop Gallery in the Heritage CN Train Station (on the corner of Glover & Mavis in Fort Langley). The "Artists' Choice" show runs from Sat., June 20th to Sun., July 26th. The gallery is hosted by at least one artist and is open Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday Mondays from noon to 4 p.m. Bring your family & friends to an area full of many interesting venues for people of all ages!
The artists are Laurie Allinson, Robin Bandenieks, Julie Bourne, Carmel Clare, David Ediger, Kathleen Gaitt, Margo Harrison, Beverly Lawrence, Yvonne Nelson, Candice Perry, Evelyn Smith, Lori Standen, Deborah Strong, Judy Webber, Dianne Wilson & Diane Zepeski with a variety of mediums & styles including painting, drawing, photography, clay, printmaking & mixed media.

The 2nd Annual Langley Children and Youth Festival
Langley Arts Council celebrates its 2nd annual Children and Youth festival on Friday June 19 from 10 to 8 pm at the Fort Langley National Historic Site. The children will enjoy a number of free activities including Sand Art, mask Making, puppet shows, dance items, song writing workshops, author readings, storytimes, fibre arts and Henna. Among other performers, 2009 award nominees and 2008 Canadian Folk Music Award winner Dina D. and Tina Jones will entertain. Also enjoy Ryan Donns music and video performance. Tickets are only $5/each.
